Story

The Southern Bus Station serves routes south along Road 13, including Vang Vieng and Vientiane. It lies about 3 km south of the old town; a tuk-tuk ride takes around 10–15 minutes. Many guesthouses can book tickets that include a pick-up. Since the railway opened, many travellers to Vientiane take the train instead.
