Riverside & Night Market Evening

An easy late-afternoon walk from the quiet Nam Khan to the seasonal bamboo bridge, around the tip of the peninsula to the Mekong for sunset, dinner by the river and the glow of the Night Market.

2. 2 Nam Khan Bamboo Bridge (seasonal) When the water is low, a hand-built bamboo bridge spans the river here. It is rebuilt every year after the rains; the small toll supports the families who build it.
3. 3 Mekong Riverside Promenade Round the tip of the peninsula, where the Nam Khan meets the Mekong, and follow the riverside road as the sun drops behind the hills of Chomphet.

5. 5 Night Market (Sisavangvong Rd) End at the Night Market on Sisavangvong Road. Browse textiles and paper lanterns, ask where items were made, and bargain with a smile.
